NPCI launches UPI Help to simplify UPI transaction tracking and disputes.

 

NPCI launches UPI Help, a new in-app feature for tracking transactions, managing mandates, and resolving disputes, enhancing transparency and user trust in India’s digital payments ecosystem.

 

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced UPI Help, a new in-app assistance and grievance redressal feature designed to enhance user experience, transparency, and trust in digital payments. Unveiled at the Global Fintech Festival (GFF) 2025, UPI Help allows users to track transactions, manage mandates, and raise disputes directly within UPI applications.

 

Seamless Support Within UPI Apps

UPI Help enables users to access assistance without visiting external portals or contacting banks separately. Key functionalities include:

 

• Real-time tracking of disputes

 

• Guided steps to resolve failed or pending transactions

 

• Management of payment mandates, including modification or cancellation

 

Industry experts suggest that this integration will streamline resolution processes, reduce dependence on intermediaries, and strengthen overall confidence in the UPI ecosystem.

 

Emphasis on Transparency and Faster Resolution

Pavan Kumar, Chief - Product & Delivery Officer at NPST, highlighted the benefits:

 

"UPI Help is a significant step toward enhancing user trust in digital payments. By integrating dispute management directly into UPI apps, the process becomes faster, transparent, and easier to track in real time."

 

He added that improved data visibility could also help identify fraud patterns and operational inefficiencies, further reinforcing system integrity.

The launch of UPI Help reflects a broader trend of incorporating AI and automation into user support systems.
